Prioritising Safety During Sydney’s Event Season

06/05/2024

This May, Sydney is hosting a multitude of major events like the Comedy Festival, Writers Festival, and the spectacular Vivid Sydney. With increased passengers traveling to attend these events, we anticipate higher demand for our bus services.

We recently posted on LinkedIn to encourage Sydney drivers to be “bus aware” – obeying traffic signals, not overtaking buses, giving way to buses, and avoiding obstructing bus stops/lanes. This allows us to provide the reliable and on-time services our passengers rely on.

As professional bus operators, road safety is paramount. During this busy event period, it’s crucial we lead by example and:

  • Remain vigilant and avoid all distractions while driving
  • Strictly follow speed limits and traffic laws
  • Never operate a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol

In National Road Safety Week, pledge to drive without distraction, not speed, and never drive under the influence.

Our commitment to safety ensures smooth journeys for the many Sydney residents and visitors using our services. Let’s work together to keep our roads safe while Sydney celebrates.
