Randwick Depot Lends a Hand to UNSW Mobility Course

11/06/2024

As mobility experts, we understand the challenges faced by people with vision impairments when using public transportation.

Last month, our Randwick Depot welcomed a group of students from UNSW who are training to become Orientation and Mobility Instructors, gaining first-hand experience with the internal layouts of various bus models by boarding and alighting buses while blindfolded.

These future professionals are studying to work with organisations such as Guide Dogs and Vision Australia, equipping them with knowledge, and expertise to assist individuals with vision impairments in navigating their surroundings.

At Transdev John Holland, we are proud to support the education and training of these future trailblazers, who will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with vision impairments to navigate the world with confidence and independence.
