Celebrating International Women’s Day 2025 at Transdev John Holland

07/03/2025

What a day! Our Port Botany Bus Depot came alive this week as we gathered to celebrate the incredible women driving the transport industry forward! International Women's Day 2025 brought together over 60 passionate people united by this year's powerful theme: "Accelerate Action."

The energy was electric as we heard inspiring stories from industry leaders and our own team members about breaking barriers in transport and paving the way for future generations to continue and build the female influence in the industry. . From our amazing female bus drivers navigating Sydney’s streets to the women shaping policy and leadership in our industry – every story reminded us why diversity makes us stronger!

The highlight? Seeing our fantastic female drivers and support colleague together in one place! These women don’t just drive buses – they drive change, inspire the next generation, and show what’s possible in an industry traditionally dominated by men.

We also want to recognise our male colleagues who champion gender equality every day. Through mentorship, allyship, and creating inclusive environments, these supportive teammates are essential partners in driving meaningful change. True progress happens when we all work together!

Special thanks to Dr. Marjorie O’Neill and Hon Matt Thistlethwaite MP for joining us for this meaningful celebration.

Here’s to the women who keep Sydney moving, today and every day!
