Your role and responsibilities:

Transdev John Holland is seeking a reliable and organized Storeperson to join our automotive workshop team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will manage stock, issue parts, and ensure the smooth operation of our stores to support our maintenance and service teams. 

The hours of work are 6am-2.30pm Monday to Friday.

Duties will include

Perform daily stocktake and accurately record fuel and oil usage.

Monitor fuel quantities to ensure sufficient supply for operational demand.

Collect counter issue sheets from multiple workshop locations and issue parts accordingly.

Follow up on discrepancies or incorrect information on counter issue sheets preventing part issuance.

Unload and handle bulky items using a walk behind forklift (no licence required).

Unpack and check incoming goods against invoices, resolving any discrepancies with suppliers.

Locate and store all parts in their correct locations, maintaining an organized inventory.

Action and follow up on emails from accounts, suppliers, and service managers regarding purchase orders, invoices, and stock issues.

Pick, package, and issue service kits for the following day to ensure workshop readiness.

Issue parts to trades staff and non-trades staff as required.

Source and supply parts from other depots when necessary.

Prepare and package parts for inter-depot transfers.

Raise purchase orders for stock and non-stock items and follow up on outstanding orders.

Update parts locations, supplier details, and pricing in HxGN EAM as required.

Request quotes from suppliers for non-stock items and manage supplier communications.

Clean workshop when required

Pay rate $38.3724 ph (includes industry allowance)

A monthly rostered day off (RDO)

4 weeks paid annual leave

Free staff bus from Redfern in the mornings and afternoons (departure times vary)

About you:

Previous experience in a stores or inventory role in an automotive mechanical workshop or industrial environment is essential

Ability to lift heavy and bulky items.

Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Strong PC skills

All successful applicants must complete a national police check and medical including drug and alcohol check. Must also supply checkable work references and work-rights in Australia such as a passport or birth certificate
