The Role
As a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our bus fleet. This includes:
Repairing, servicing, and maintaining buses to meet regulatory standards
Road testing vehicles as required
Attending breakdowns on and off-site
Identifying and repairing vehicle defects
The talent you bring:
Current NSW MVTC Motor Mechanic trade certificate (essential)
Relevant experience on buses or heavy vehicles
Current HR drivers license (or ability to obtain)
Computer literacy for accurate maintenance record keeping
Capability to supervise and assist in training apprentices and trade assistants
Experience with scan tools (desirable)
We Offer:
For the right incumbent we are prepared to take over the sponsorship of qualified applicants holding a Temporary Work skilled visa (subclass 457), or a Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482) who are currently living in Sydney.
Potential annual earnings of up to 100K + super (including shift allowance and overtime)
Regular opportunities for paid overtime
A monthly rostered day off (RDO)
4-5 weeks annual leave (depending on shift allocation)
Fortnightly rotating day/afternoon roster with shift allowances
Tools and uniforms supplied

Hours of work:
After an initial training period on day shift, you will commence a 2-week rotating roster which includes work on Saturdays and Sundays.
Day shift: 6am-2.30pm
Mid shift: 10.30am-7pm (15% shift allowance is payable for the entire shift)
Afternoon shift: 2.30pm- 11pm (15% shift allowance is payable for the entire shift)

Waverley (approx. 600 metre walk from Bondi Junction train station)
Randwick (site parking available and close to Light Rail stop)
